Maintain and keep our property tax-rate one of the lowest in Maine.
Focus on the Town’s Comprehensive and Climate Action Plans. Work to ensure we are focused on prioritizing the goals we can achieve in the immediate future with the resources and budget we have. Position ourselves financially and operationally to take advantage of outside funding resources/grants that will help with longer-term needs.
Ensure we remain resilient against rising sea levels and the impact of storm surge and tidal damage.
Review the Town’s ordinances and zoning codes to allow homeowners to pro-actively protect their property from the impacts of climate change.
Focus on issues related to the protection of our critical town systems and infrastructure.
Find solutions to address the availability for long-term residents, younger families and individuals to remain and live in town. Understand the impact of LD2003, and how the town can pro-actively address the issues it requires for the community.
Encourage the various town boards and committees to focus their work to achieve collective common goals and objectives. Actively search for and find town residents to fill the vacancies we currently have.
Work with neighboring communities and regional agencies on a collaborative basis to find solutions that benefit the entire area.
Provide open access to all town residents to discuss and listen to your concerns and suggestions. Find answers to questions you have and communicate what I learn back. Look for opportunities, like the Kennebunkport Citizens Academy, to better educate people on how town government works.
Focus on efficient ways to show results, outcomes and actual achievements - not just talk and ideas.
